Important H1N1 Announcement 12/7/09

The Ohio Department of Health has determined that effective with clinics scheduled beginning on or after Dec 14, 2009 that all restrictions be removed and that H1N1 vaccine may be given to the general public. 

Flu Information and Clinic Schedule - H1N1

As a significant quantity of H1N1 vaccine, in both mist and shot form has been received, ECHD has scheduled the following clinics.  H1N1 Vaccine is provided without charge

ECHD will hold the following clinics in February:

February 9th - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

February 16th - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

February 23rd - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

For children ages 9 and under who need the second dose - please remember to wait at least 28 days from the initial vaccination and bring the child's card to the clinic

As with all vaccination clinics, these are subject to change or cancellation due to vaccine supply.

Current ECHD H1N1 vaccine inventory status:

As the most common questions are: Are you going to run out? and Do you have vaccine?  We will attempt to post  our current inventory status to ease public anxiety.  As of 2/3/10

205 doses preservative free for kids 6 months - 35 months

3107 Doses of the nasal form

174 Doses of the shot form

33 doses preservative free for pregnant women

What ECHD has done so far:

Since Oct 15 ECHD has held a total of 22 H1N1 vaccination clinics; 19 open to the public, 1 specifically for EMS personnel, 1 for LCCC students and 1 for the Murray Ridge Early Intervention Program.  Through these 21 clinics we have vaccinated a total of 7952 persons.

Seasonal Flu Information Updated 2/3/10

ECHD has 209 doses of seasonal flu vaccine remaining. This will be the last seasonal vaccine that we receive. ECHD will conduct the following clinics in February:

February 9th - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

February 16th - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

February 23rd - Midway Mall - Community Room - Noon - 6pm

All clinics are subject to change or cancellation due to availability of vaccine. 

Seasonal Flu vaccine is $15/dose - Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted.
