Important Announcement!!!
The Elyria City Health District will merge with the Lorain County General Health District on January 1, 2017.  All public health services currently available in Elyria will continue to be provided by the Lorain County General Health District. 
Continuing services will include but are not limited to:
Environmental Services such as restaurant, public pool and body art operation inspection and licensing, response to animal bites and nuisance complaints, and enforcement of Ohio's smoke-free workplace and environmental lead laws.
Public Health Nursing Services, inclusive of immunizations, foreign travel clinic, home visiting programs, case management, community outreach and public health education.
In order for staff members to complete all record review, disposition, and storage, THERE WILL BE NO CLINICS SCHEDULED OR IMMUNIZATIONS PROVIDED FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER IN ANY PROGRAM.
Please call the Lorain County General Health District at 440-322-6367 for public health services including pediatric, adult and travel vaccinations beginning in January 2017.
The Elyria City Health District will offer Adult Flu Vaccine through the month of November 2016 as follows:
The first Friday of each month
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ages 19 years and up
at ECHD, 202 Chestnut Street, Elyria
$35.00 (High-Dose Flu ages 65 years and up)
$25.00 (ages 19 years and up)

We accept Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, and Ohio Medicaid HMOs (please bring a copy of your insurance card).
