Immunization are the best resource to prevent communicable diseases. To help protect children and adults from disease and illness, the Elyria City Health District offers many clinic opportunities to obtain the recommended or required immunizations. Immunizations are needed during infancy, for entrance to school, entrance to college, for travel purposes as well as boosters to help keep children and adults healthy.
Children's clinics are available for children birth to age 18 during the daytime hours, evening hours and on Saturday. Adult clinics are available twice a month on a walk-in basis.
Flu Clinics are held annually through the community during the flu season.
ECHD offers a Travel Clinic for those traveling abroad; this clinic includes a consultation with education, as well as the administration of the recommended or required vaccinations needed for your destination.
