ECHD is part of the Lorain County Children & Families Council program to provide Ohio's Help Me Grow initative to residents of Lorain County.
Help Me Grow provides services to pregnant women and children in the first three years of life and includes home visits and child development screening
Home visits are conducted by a registered nurse. During a newborn visit, the nurse conducts a check-up of the mother and baby and shares information about health, development and safety. Referrals to other community services are also offered.
Ongoing Help Me Grow visits can answer questions about your child's growth and development. A group of service providers can work with your family to determine needs and to help ensure that your child receives proper medical care and access to community services.
Please contact the Lorain County Help Me Grow helpline at 1-800-729-8687 for more information.
